Mikaela Mayer and Chantelle Cameron are set to headline MVPW-06 at the bp pulse LIVE arena in Birmingham on Saturday, 29 August 2026. The main event will determine the unified world super welterweight champion, with the WBO, WBA and WBC titles on the line in a bout that pits the American titleholder against the British WBO champion.

The fight is the centrepiece of a card themed around UK versus USA matchups, with every main event featuring a fighter from each nation. Caroline Dubois is also confirmed to be in action on the bill, which will be broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Mayer, who holds the WBA and WBC belts, has expressed high confidence ahead of the contest. The 36-year-old, who has a record of 22 wins and two losses, told Sky Sports that she feels "unbeatable" and believes the fight will not be as close as many expect. She cited her improved versatility and defensive tightening over the past 10 months as key factors, claiming her recent training developments make her difficult for opponents to prepare for.

Cameron, 35, enters the fight with a record of 22 wins and one loss. She won the WBO super welterweight title in April with a dominant victory over Michaela Kotaskova, a belt Mayer had previously vacated just months after winning it from Mary Spencer. Cameron has won her last four fights since a rematch defeat to Katie Taylor in 2023.
