Logistics providers expand US Great Plains capacity amid e-commerce growth
New warehouses in Dallas-Fort Worth and Oklahoma City aim to improve delivery speeds and order processing efficiency for online retailers.

Two e-commerce logistics providers have significantly expanded their operational footprint in the US Great Plains, opening new warehouses in Texas and Oklahoma to meet growing demand for rapid delivery. Rush Order and Encore Fulfillment, both third-party logistics specialists, announced the openings as part of broader strategies to enhance regional distribution capabilities and support brand growth.
Rush Order confirmed it will open its fourth US fulfilment centre in the Dallas-Fort Worth area on 1 July. The company, which currently operates 13 business-to-consumer fulfilment centres globally, stated that the new location will allow it to reach 93 per cent of the US population within two days via UPS Ground. The remaining population in the network is expected to receive deliveries within three days.
According to Rush Order, the Dallas-Fort Worth site is strategically positioned within a day’s drive by truck of major southern distribution centres for retailers including Walmart, Sam’s Club, Target, and Best Buy. The company said this proximity facilitates faster inventory replenishment and reduces lead times for shoppers in the Great Plains and Southeast regions.
Concurrently, Encore Fulfillment has moved into a 350,000-square-foot facility in Oklahoma City. The move consolidates operations from an earlier location under one roof, increasing the company’s capacity to process orders at scale. The new site supports pick and pack, inventory management, wholesale distribution, and omnichannel order fulfilment, with products moving from dock to shelf within one to two days.
Encore Fulfillment co-founder Kyle Thompson said the expansion provides the physical footprint needed to support client growth while maintaining high-touch service standards. The facility utilises warehouse routing software to batch and route orders efficiently, tendering outbound shipments to FedEx, UPS, or the US Postal Service based on the most cost-effective option. The company’s technology integrates with major e-commerce platforms including Shopify, Amazon, WooCommerce, and BigCommerce.
