LG and Prime Video introduce Creator Original mode for 2026 OLED evo TVs
LG Electronics has partnered with Prime Video to roll out a new picture mode for its 2026 OLED evo range, timed to coincide with the Masters of the Universe movie release.

LG Electronics is introducing a new picture mode titled Creator Original for select 2026 LG OLED evo TV models, specifically the W6, G6, and C6 series. Developed in collaboration with Prime Video, the feature allows film and television studios to exert granular control over picture parameters, including shadow detail, colour balance, noise reduction, and motion handling.
This approach offers more precise control than the existing Filmmaker Mode, which typically disables post-processing features like motion smoothing to provide a neutral presentation. Unlike neutral picture modes that counteract modern TVs' heavy post-processing, Creator Original embraces these additional features, enabling studios to set specific parameters to best present their creative vision.
The launch is timed to coincide with the release of the upcoming Masters of the Universe movie. To facilitate access to the content, LG has included a special voice command feature on LG Smart TVs running webOS 23 or later. Users can say "I have the power" via the LG Magic Remote to automatically bring up content for the new release.
Most G6 and C6 options are priced between $2,000 and $5,000. LG Electronics typically rolls out pricing information for its annual TV models in March. These TVs feature support for Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, 12-bit image processing, and enhanced dynamic range control.
While the technology provides advanced visual capabilities, the price points may not feel worthwhile for many viewers. The partnership highlights the growing integration between hardware manufacturers and streaming services to enhance the viewing experience for premium content.
