Kiyosaki Monitors Bitcoin and Gold for Reversal, Cites Global Leadership Failures

Robert Kiyosaki, the author of the best-selling book "Rich Dad Poor Dad", has stated he is closely monitoring Bitcoin, Ethereum, gold and silver for signs of a market reversal. In a post on X on 20 June 2026, Kiyosaki outlined his strategy for these assets, noting that he plans to increase his exposure once technical charts indicate a reversal in their current declines.

Kiyosaki emphasised that falling prices alone do not dictate his buying or selling decisions. "One mistake I have made (and I’ve made many) is letting price determine reasons to buy or sell any asset," he wrote. Instead, he focuses on the broader economic backdrop and the environment surrounding an asset, particularly the actions of policymakers.

The investor directed his criticism at global leaders, describing them as incompetent for worsening economic conditions rather than solving structural problems. "With gold and silver, I watch our political and banking leaders. Are they solving the problems of the U.S. and world economy or making things worse?" he asked, concluding that "global leaders are incompetent only making things worse."

This commentary follows a warning Kiyosaki issued in May 2026, where he cautioned investors against blindly trusting traditional safe-haven assets. At that time, he noted that gold, silver and Bitcoin can cost money if purchased on hype, reinforcing his long-standing argument that investors should prioritise scarce assets over government-issued currencies and debt instruments.

Kiyosaki’s recent statements suggest he remains constructive on digital assets despite recent volatility. His approach ties buying decisions to macroeconomic conditions and technical trends, distinguishing his strategy from those driven by short-term price movements or market sentiment.
