Kaitlyn Kloss leads Western Wayne to two wins at Lackawanna League meet
The sophomore won the girls’ race at Lakeland High School as Western Wayne defeated Dunmore and Riverside but lost to Old Forge.

Sophomore Kaitlyn Kloss won the girls’ race at a Lackawanna League cluster meet at Lakeland High School on 15 September, finishing in 20:34 and placing 13th overall.
The result was Kloss’s second individual victory of the 2026 season. She previously won the girls’ division at a Blue Ridge cluster meet on 9 September in 21:00.8, after finishing fourth among 167 runners at the Cliff Robbins Invitational on 5 September in 20:59.
Western Wayne defeated Dunmore and Riverside, recording 15-50 wins against both teams, but lost to Old Forge. Annie Williams, Sofia Ochlan and Leah Reeger also contributed for the Wildcats, recording times of 24:25, 26:04 and 27:27 respectively.
Kloss finished in the top 10 at last year’s district meet and qualified for the state meet. She also competes in track and field and previously trained in gymnastics.
Western Wayne is scheduled to host Holy Cross, Scranton Prep and Carbondale Area on 24 September. The results and season context were reported by Yahoo Sports.
