Jayden Reed’s season ends with neck surgery

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed will miss the remainder of the 2026 season to undergo neck surgery, coach Matt LaFleur said on Wednesday.
Reed injured his neck against the New York Jets in Week 2. LaFleur said Reed had told him he would need surgery.
The coach said the injury is not believed to be career-ending. That assessment was attributed to LaFleur; no surgery date or recovery timeline was provided.
Reed signed a three-year contract extension with Green Bay in April, reported by Fox Sports at about $50.3 million. His season-ending absence leaves the Packers without the receiver for the rest of their 2026 campaign.
