Jack Grealish reports significant progress in foot injury recovery ahead of summer window

England midfielder Jack Grealish has confirmed that his recovery from surgery on a stress fracture to his foot is progressing extremely well. The operation, which was performed ten weeks ago, has yielded positive results according to his surgeon, who stated during a recent Zoom call that the progress "couldn't be looking any better."

The 30-year-old, who is currently on loan at Everton, expressed that he feels "really good" and described the news as "happy days." Grealish sustained the season-ending injury in January during a 1-0 victory against his former club, Aston Villa, and has since focused on rehabilitation while remaining with the Merseyside club.

Statistics from his time at Everton this season indicate he has made 22 appearances in all competitions, scoring twice and providing six assists. Regarding his future at the club, Grealish has a year remaining on his Manchester City contract. Reports suggest Everton has expressed interest in signing the midfielder permanently, though they would need to negotiate a price lower than the club's rough valuation of £50m.
