Israeli strikes kill four in southern Lebanon as truce tensions deepen

Israeli air strikes killed at least four people and wounded 20 others in southern Lebanon on Sunday, according to Lebanon’s Health Ministry and the state-run National News Agency.
The strikes began at dawn and hit Nabatieh, Arab Salim, Nabatieh al-Fawqa and Kfar Reman. Two women were killed and six people wounded in Arab Salim after Israeli forces issued a displacement order for a building, the National News Agency reported. The Health Ministry said two people were killed in Nabatieh al-Fawqa.
The attacks also damaged or destroyed civilian and historic sites, including a building in Nabatieh, the former mayor’s home in Kfar Reman and the Sayyida Masouma Garden. The supplied reports did not independently verify the damage assessments.
Israel said it carried out the strikes after Hezbollah launched two drones towards its forces in southern Lebanon, describing the action as a violation by the Lebanese armed group. Hezbollah had not commented on the allegation.
