Inter and Roma lead CBS Sports’ Serie A power rankings after third matchday

Inter, the defending 2025–26 champions, remain the team to beat after recovering from two goals down to defeat Napoli 3–2. CBS Sports described the result as evidence of Inter’s strength as they begin their title defence.
Roma strengthened their prospects with a late comeback against Atalanta. CBS Sports said the result suggested Gian Piero Gasperini’s side could challenge Inter for the title, while also identifying Atalanta as a team to watch.
AC Milan and Juventus drew 1–1, with CBS Sports describing Milan as a work in progress following changes to the club’s coaching structure and hierarchy. Ruben Amorim’s team is yet to establish the influence of several new signings, according to the analysis.
Napoli have lost two of their opening three matches under Massimiliano Allegri, prompting early concern around the club. Napoli also said Scott McTominay has a mild benign arrhythmia requiring corrective surgery, according to the CBS Sports report.
Fiorentina have also made an early managerial change, with the report saying Fabio Grosso was dismissed after three matches and Paolo Vanoli recalled. The decision follows three opening defeats and makes Fiorentina the first Serie A club reported to have replaced its coach this season.
