Indiana’s Khobie Martin expected to miss several weeks with arm injury
The Indiana running back left the Hoosiers’ win over North Texas in the first quarter and is expected to return around midseason.
Indiana running back Khobie Martin is expected to miss several weeks after suffering an apparent arm injury in the Hoosiers’ 52–16 win over North Texas, according to Yahoo Sports.
Martin left in the first quarter on Saturday without recording a carry and did not return. The nature and severity of the injury have not been disclosed.
Coach Curt Cignetti said on Monday that he expects Martin to return around midseason, though no confirmed timetable has been provided. Martin was reportedly seen with his right arm in a sling in an Instagram story on Sunday.
Martin recorded 505 rushing yards and seven total touchdowns for Indiana last season. Lee Beebe Jr. and transfer Turbo Richard handled most of the carries after his departure against North Texas.
Richard finished with 58 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries, while Beebe recorded 33 yards on 14 carries. Indiana is scheduled to host Howard next.
