Two matches required extra time to determine a winner, highlighting the competitive nature of the season’s start. Bedford North Lawrence defeated Martinsville 33–27 in overtime, while Fort Wayne Dwenger narrowly beat Indianapolis Roncalli 15–14 in triple overtime.
