Hamlin takes pole as Joe Gibbs Racing locks out Las Vegas front row
Denny Hamlin qualified fastest for the South Point 400, with his three Joe Gibbs Racing team-mates directly behind him.

Denny Hamlin qualified on pole for the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, posting a lap of 28.910 seconds, according to Yahoo Sports.
Joe Gibbs Racing took the first four starting positions. Hamlin was followed by Ty Gibbs, Christopher Bell and Chase Briscoe, while Tyler Reddick of 23XI Racing qualified fifth.
Joey Logano qualified 23rd, the only Chase driver outside the top 20, the report said.
The race was scheduled for Sunday, 4 October, at the 1.5-mile oval. Yahoo Sports listed it as 267 laps, or 400.5 miles, with stages of 80, 85 and 102 laps.
The report listed an approximate green flag time of 4:40 p.m. CT and national television coverage on USA Network.
