Hall ruled out as Jets rally to tie Lions

The New York Jets were without running back Breece Hall for the rest of their game against the Detroit Lions after he sustained a reported thigh injury on a fourth-quarter run.
CBS Sports reported Hall was injured on a second-and-goal play and was ruled out after an assessment in the sideline medical tent. The report did not give a further diagnosis or recovery timeline.
Hall had 13 carries for 32 rushing yards and caught three passes for 23 yards before leaving. He entered Week 2 as the Jets’ leader in yards from scrimmage, with 131 rushing yards and 79 receiving yards, according to CBS Sports.
New York trailed by 14 points when Hall left, then scored a touchdown on the drive and later tied the game at 24. Braelon Allen took on a larger role after Hall’s exit.
