Buffalo edges Chargers to reach 3-0 despite turnover troubles
Josh Allen scored twice on the ground, including the go-ahead touchdown, as the Bills beat Los Angeles 24-16.
The Buffalo Bills beat the Los Angeles Chargers 24-16 in their Week 3 matchup, improving to 3-0 while Los Angeles fell to 0-3. Fox Sports reported that the Chargers forced five turnovers and Buffalo committed 10 penalties, but the Bills still secured the win.
Josh Allen threw two interceptions and lost a fumble, according to Fox Sports. He completed 16 of 26 passes for 204 yards without a passing touchdown, and ran for 23 yards and two scores.
Allen’s fourth-quarter quarterback sneak gave Buffalo its first lead, Fox Sports reported. Earlier in the drive, a 43-yard pass to running back Ty Johnson was called back to the 24-yard line after a holding penalty.
The win came despite a quieter statistical outing from Allen than in his first two games, when Fox Sports said he had thrown for 582 yards and five touchdowns and run for 92 yards and four touchdowns. His two rushing scores helped Buffalo preserve its unbeaten start.
