Toronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has apologised to fans and teammates after comments that his reported $500 million contract reflected past performance more than future value.
Guerrero made the apology on Friday ahead of the team’s season-ending home series against the Cincinnati Reds. He said he regretted how he had expressed himself and would continue working to make the deal “a great one”.
