The San Francisco Giants have placed their starting pitcher Logan Webb on the 15-day injured list due to right knee bursitis. The roster transaction was officially announced on Saturday and made retroactive to Wednesday, the date Webb was removed from the mound during a previous appearance.

Webb was pulled from the game after four innings of a 10-5 loss to the San Diego Padres following reports of knee discomfort.
