Georgia opens SEC campaign with 45-17 win over Arkansas

No. 2 Georgia began its Southeastern Conference campaign with a 45-17 victory over Arkansas in Fayetteville, taking control with a 21-3 half-time lead.
Chauncey Bowens scored three rushing touchdowns for Georgia, while quarterback Gunner Stockton completed 10 of 13 passes for 147 yards and a touchdown. Stockton also ran for a team-high 97 yards.
Georgia further separated itself through its ground game. Nick Frazier ran for 75 yards and a touchdown, while Craig Dandridge Jr. caught a 61-yard touchdown pass, according to Yahoo Sports.
Arkansas managed only 17 rushing yards, its lowest reported total since it gained 16 yards against LSU in 2018. KJ Jackson completed 20 of 27 passes for 212 yards, while AJ Hill completed eight of 14 for 76 yards.
The Razorbacks scored both of their touchdowns in the fourth quarter, after the result was effectively settled. Georgia is reported at 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the SEC, while Arkansas is 1-2 overall and 0-1.
Georgia is scheduled to host No. 24 Oklahoma next Saturday. Arkansas is scheduled to host Tulsa.
