Fujifilm unveils Instax Pal 2 compact digital camera
The Instax Pal 2 adds a screen, viewfinder, autofocus and face detection to Fujifilm’s pocket-sized digital camera line.
Fujifilm has announced the Instax Pal 2, a compact digital camera with a 10-megapixel sensor, optical viewfinder and a 1.3-inch top-mounted LCD screen.
The camera uses a 28mm f/2.2 lens and a ⅓.06-inch sensor. Its autofocus system includes optional face detection, while users can adjust ISO, shutter speed and exposure compensation.
Images can be transferred to a phone or printed through Fujifilm’s mobile app using Bluetooth or the camera’s USB-C connection. The device also includes a flash, tripod mount, self-timer and rechargeable battery.
The Instax Pal 2 follows Fujifilm’s original Instax Pal, which launched without a screen or viewfinder. Its design resembles a miniature analogue film camera, with a shutter button, joystick and lever-style control.
Fujifilm expects the Instax Pal 2 to launch in the US later in September 2026 for $169.95, according to reporting by The Verge. Fujifilm claims the rechargeable battery can provide up to three hours of use; that estimate has not been independently verified.
