Fox Sports has published defensive rankings for every NFL team following Week 1 of the 2026 regular season.

The report measures performance across six categories: total defence, passing defence, rushing defence, scoring defence, red-zone defence and third-down defence.

The rankings provide an early-season snapshot of how teams performed defensively during the opening week. The supplied report does not include the underlying table, team positions or statistical figures.

As a result, the rankings indicate the scope of the assessment but do not establish a definitive view of defensive quality over the season. Further results will provide a broader basis for comparing teams.
