A Flydubai flight travelling from Dubai to Tel Aviv diverted to Tabuk airport in Saudi Arabia after transmitting an emergency alert shortly after take-off, according to publicly available flight-tracking information.
Flydubai said the aircraft experienced an incident en route and landed safely. The airline said all passengers were safe and accounted for, and that it would provide further details later.
Israeli media, citing officials, reported that an altercation between the pilots was the apparent cause of the alert, which was described as “unlawful interference”. That account has not been independently confirmed, and the trigger for the alert remains unclear.
The Israeli military said Chief of the General Staff Eyal Zamir held an assessment of the incident with senior officers.
