Five-star prospect David Gabriel Georges set to announce college commitment
The Canadian-born running back, who plays for Baylor School in Chattanooga, will reveal his decision live on CBS Sports HQ on Wednesday evening.

David Gabriel Georges, a five-star running back and the No. 10 prospect in the 2027 recruiting class, is scheduled to announce his college commitment on Wednesday, 22 July 2026. The announcement will take place during a special ceremony on CBS Sports HQ, with the event also streamed via the CBS Sports College Football YouTube channel.
Georges, who hails from Canada but plays high school football at Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee, is selecting from a shortlist of three finalists: Tennessee, Ole Miss and Ohio State. He is currently ranked as the second-best running back prospect in his class and has received more than 30 scholarship offers.
The decision follows a series of official visits to each finalist program. Ohio State hosted Georges in May 2026, while Ole Miss received his most recent visit during the weekend of 12 June. Georges also spent a weekend at Tennessee last month, where he met with former standout Alvin Kamara and current freshmen Jamyan Theodore and Gabriel Osenda, both of whom he played alongside at Baylor School last season.
Last season, Georges rushed for 1,749 yards and 27 touchdowns. Scouting reports from 247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins describe Georges as a "physical freak" with exceptional vision and contact balance. Ivins noted that Georges rarely goes down on first contact and possesses the patience and lateral quickness required for the position.
Ivins compared Georges’ running style to that of Quinshon Judkins, stating he grades Georges higher than other top prospects such as Savion Hiter. The scouting report highlights Georges’ willingness to embrace pass protection and his versatility as a receiving threat, attributes that suggest he could be an instant-impact true freshman at a Power Four program with future NFL traits.
