Fiorentina forward Amir Richardson set for Le Havre loan return
Report indicates ACF Fiorentina has agreed to loan Amir Richardson back to Le Havre, ending a period of limited involvement at the Italian side and FC Copenhagen.
ACF Fiorentina is reportedly preparing to loan forward Amir Richardson back to Le Havre, according to a report by Foot Mercato. The 24-year-old Moroccan international is expected to return to the Normandy-based club where he began his professional career, concluding a stint that has seen minimal first-team engagement.
The proposed move involves a loan agreement with an option to buy, terms that Le Havre has reportedly negotiated with their Florentine counterparts. Richardson’s current contract with Fiorentina remains valid until 2029, but the club has agreed to release him on a temporary basis to facilitate his return to France.
Richardson joined Fiorentina from Stade de Reims in the summer of 2024 for a transfer fee of €9 million. During his first season in Italy, he made 39 appearances across all competitions, contributing two goals and one assist. However, his playing time has significantly decreased in recent months.
During the second half of the 2025-26 campaign, Richardson was split between Fiorentina and FC Copenhagen. According to the report, he accumulated a total of just 414 minutes of playing time across both clubs during this period, prompting the search for a move that offers more regular football.
The forward, who is originally from Nice and holds nine caps for the Moroccan national team, is viewed as a strategic addition for Le Havre. The club has sought to bolster its squad by bringing back a player with whom they have prior history, aiming to stabilise their attacking options for the upcoming season.
