Fifty-one Youth Teams Compete for Little League World Series Slots in U.S. Regionals
The 2026 U.S. Regionals have narrowed the field of fifty-one participating teams to ten, who will advance to the championship in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
Fifty-one youth baseball teams are currently competing for ten available slots in the 2026 Little League World Series during the United States regionals. The tournaments, which span five distinct sites across the country, ran from 6 to 14 August, serving as the final qualifying stage for the national championship.
The competition structure required the top teams from each state and Washington D.C. to navigate through regional brackets. These teams were distributed across ten specific regionals, including the Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Midwest, Mountain, New England, Northwest, Southeast, and additional regional divisions.
The five primary hosting sites facilitated the regional play, with locations including Whitestown, Indiana; Bristol, Connecticut; San Bernadino, California; and Warner Robins, Georgia. Each site hosted teams from multiple states, ensuring a concentrated schedule of games over the nine-day period.
Participants vied for a place in the championship held in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania. The path to this destination involved intense competition within their respective regional groups, with only the highest-performing squads securing advancement to the final stage of the youth baseball calendar.
The conclusion of the regionals marks the end of the U.S. qualifying phase. The ten teams that emerged victorious from these tournaments will now prepare to represent their regions in South Williamsport, following the precedent set by last year’s Asia-Pacific representative from Chinese Taipei.
