Bilas selected Peterson as the most talented prospect, citing his athleticism and scoring ability despite a season interrupted by cramping issues. He categorised Dybantsa as the player best suited for the NBA and Boozer as the best pure basketball player. Other notable rankings included Darius Acuff Jr. as the best guard after Peterson, and Morez Johnson Jr. and Labaron Philon Jr. as top prospects outside the top ten.

Bilas noted that the draft lacks a definitive choice for the top slot, drawing comparisons to the 2022 class where multiple high-profile prospects were considered viable first selections. He argued that Peterson, Dybantsa, and Boozer each present a compelling case for the number one pick, with no outcome being surprising if any of their names were called first.
