Engadget outlines fixes for common Apple Wallet problems
Updating iOS, checking regional support and re-adding cards are among the steps recommended for Apple Wallet issues.

Apple Wallet users facing problems adding cards or making payments can try a series of basic troubleshooting steps outlined by Engadget.
The guide recommends removing a problematic card from the Wallet app and adding it again, particularly where a card has expired or been reissued. Re-adding the card may require verification through the bank or card provider.
Users should also confirm that their bank supports Apple Pay and that the service is available in their region. Apple Pay and Apple Cash availability can depend on the country, bank and card provider, while the iPhone’s region settings can be checked under Language & Region.
Other suggested checks include installing the latest iOS update, enabling Face ID or Touch ID access for contactless payments, and activating two-factor authentication for the Apple Account. Restarting the iPhone may also resolve some problems.
Not every ticket, boarding pass or other digital pass can be added to Apple Wallet. Engadget points to QR-code workarounds and mentions built-in pass generation in iOS 27, although compatibility still depends on the provider and device.
If the issue persists, users can check Apple’s System Status page for outages affecting services such as iCloud or Wallet. A physical payment card may be needed if Apple’s services are unavailable.
