Enceladus leads 11-runner field for 250th St Leger at Doncaster
Enceladus, Christmas Day and Pierre Bonnard headline Sky Sports’ preview of the Group 1 race, scheduled for 3.35pm.

The 250th Group 1 Betfred St Leger Stakes is scheduled to be run at Doncaster, with 11 runners set to contest the race at 3.35pm. Sky Sports describes the St Leger as the world’s oldest Classic.
Enceladus arrives after victories in the King George V and Gordon Stakes. Trained by Joseph O’Brien, the Sea The Stars colt has progressed with each start and is identified by Sky Sports as a leading chance under Billy Loughnane.
Aidan O’Brien fields four runners, including Derby winner Christmas Day. Sky Sports notes that rain would be favourable for the colt, who won at Epsom in wet conditions.
Pierre Bonnard also features after finishing ahead of Christmas Day at York and placing second in the Great Voltigeur. The preview suggests the longer distance could suit him.
The race is scheduled to be broadcast live on Sky Sports Racing. The supplied material is a preview and does not report the result.
