Eisenberg’s 2026 Fantasy Draft Strategy Revealed Ahead of Final Weekend

Fantasy Football analyst Jamey Eisenberg has released a comprehensive breakdown of his draft strategies for the 2026 season, providing insight into his selections across 28 leagues as the draft weekend reaches its conclusion. The analysis covers 21 redraft leagues, five dynasty leagues, and two Guillotine leagues, with 15 of the redraft competitions already completed.
Eisenberg’s approach has been characterised by significant positional diversity, particularly at quarterback, where he has selected 14 different players without drafting any individual more than twice. This strategy reflects a preference for value over top-tier talent, with Eisenberg noting that he only reached for quarterbacks when they were available at a significant discount, such as taking Drake Maye in the fifth round of a 14-team league.
The running back position has seen the most variation, with Eisenberg drafting 47 different players. His selections have been heavily influenced by recent injury reports, including Josh Jacobs being placed on the Commissioner’s Exempt List and a knee injury sustained by Monangai. These developments have shifted focus towards players like Amon-Ra St. Brown and other high-upside options, while Eisenberg has maintained a cautious stance on Christian McCaffrey, whose Average Draft Position stands at 7.7 overall.
At wide receiver, Eisenberg has selected 45 different players, with Puka Nacua and Ja’Marr Chase emerging as his most frequent targets. Nacua was drafted four times across the completed redraft leagues, while Chase was selected three times. The analyst has indicated plans to increase his exposure to players such as Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jaxon Smith-Njigba in the remaining drafts, citing their strong value propositions.
The tight end position has seen the least diversity, with only 11 different players selected. Despite this, Eisenberg has drafted Travis Kelce in four of his 15 redraft leagues, a move he attributes to Kelce’s strong 2025 performance and his favourable draft position in the ninth round. Eisenberg remains optimistic about Kelce’s potential to remain a top-five fantasy tight end despite his age.
As the final drafts take place, Eisenberg intends to target additional exposure to players including Trevor Lawrence, Jared Goff, and George Kittle.
