The Los Angeles Dodgers completed a three-game sweep of the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday, securing a 6-4 victory in extra innings at Coors Field in Denver. The win extended the Dodgers' offensive dominance, with the team recording a total of 24 runs across the three-game series.

Mookie Betts was the pivotal figure in the deciding game, registering three hits. He opened the scoring with a solo home run in the fourth inning before delivering the winning blow in the top of the 10th. His clutch RBI single drove in the go-ahead run, which was scored by Teoscar Hernandez on a leadoff single. Hernandez’s run was facilitated by the use of a ghost runner, Andy Pages.

On the mound, Roki Sasaki provided a resilient start for the Dodgers, allowing two runs over five innings. Pitching in the thin air of Denver, where ball movement is often compromised, Sasaki navigated a challenging environment by leveraging a high strike rate. He recorded 18 whiffs and 13 called strikes, maintaining count advantages despite allowing seven hits and one walk.

Sasaki’s performance was notable for its efficiency, with an 87% first-pitch strike rate and a 74% overall strike rate, even though only 42% of his pitches were located in the zone. He faced 60 swings on 99 pitches, managing to limit hard contact despite the Rockies’ aggressive approach at the plate.

The two earned runs allowed by Sasaki resulted from a defensive lapse by Teoscar Hernandez, who misjudged a fly ball that fell for an RBI double. While Hernandez’s defensive error cost the Dodgers a potential shutout, his offensive contribution in the 10th inning proved decisive in securing the series win.

Kyle Tucker was the only other Dodger to record a multi-hit game, contributing to a team total of 11 hits. The Dodgers will take a rest day on Thursday following the series, having demonstrated strong offensive momentum against the Rockies.
