Dodgers await roster decision as Mookie Betts scheduled to return from oblique strain

Manager Dave Roberts has indicated that Betts will be utilised in the second or third batting position upon his return. This strategic placement comes despite the fact that Betts was batting .179 with two home runs and seven RBIs in eight games prior to the injury. Roberts described the situation as a "good problem" in terms of the team's current standing, though he acknowledged it creates a "potential tough conversation" regarding necessary roster adjustments to accommodate the star player.

The Dodgers had previously concluded a three-game series against the Atlanta Braves before finalising the plan to welcome Betts back for the upcoming clash with the Giants.
