Jim Cramer said he preferred CoreWeave over IREN Limited among neocloud companies during a 3 September lightning-round segment on Mad Money, according to a Yahoo Finance report. He described other options as too speculative and singled out CoreWeave and chief executive Michael Intrator.

CoreWeave reported second-quarter revenue of US$2.575 billion, up approximately 112% from a year earlier. Its reported revenue backlog was about US$104 billion as at 30 June, while the company said its near-term capacity remained effectively sold out.

IREN reported fiscal 2026 AI Cloud Services revenue of US$128.8 million and total revenue of US$707 million. Bitcoin mining accounted for US$578.2 million of that total, highlighting the different business mixes behind the two companies’ reported figures.

IREN also reported US$4 billion of contracted AI annualised run-rate revenue for 2026 capacity, including US$1 billion of operating ARR as at 26 August. The company cautioned in its filing that ARR is an operating metric rather than GAAP revenue and remains subject to commissioning, testing and customer acceptance.

Both companies are committing significant capital to AI expansion. CoreWeave reported a second-quarter net loss of US$626 million and US$35.6 billion of debt, while IREN reported approximately US$7.7 billion of debt principal as at 30 June. Their differing reporting periods and business mixes limit direct comparison, and execution and financing remain key risks.
