Cowboys poised to add veteran Von Miller as NFL rosters finalise

The Dallas Cowboys are set to bolster their defensive line with the addition of veteran pass rusher Von Miller, according to reports from NFL insider Adam Schefter on Sunday evening. The move comes as teams across the league continue to finalise their rosters just weeks before the official start of the regular season.

Miller, a two-time Super Bowl champion and eight-time Pro Bowler, is expected to join the Cowboys following a tenure with the Washington Commanders. If the deal proceeds, it will mark the fifth team of his professional career, following previous stints with the Denver Broncos, Buffalo Bills, and Los Angeles Rams.

The signing represents a significant acquisition for Dallas, bringing in a player with a decorated resume that includes Super Bowl victories with both the Broncos in the 2015-16 season and the Rams in the 2021-22 season. Miller was named MVP for the Broncos’ Super Bowl 50 triumph and has been recognised as a Pro Bowler in eight of his seasons, including every year from 2011 to 2019 except 2013.

Despite his accolades, Miller’s playing time has diminished in recent years, with only three starts recorded over the last three seasons. Nevertheless, the Cowboys are looking to leverage his experience and veteran presence as they seek to improve their defensive performance ahead of the upcoming campaign.
