Commvault adds automated cyber recovery to CrowdStrike response workflows
The connector allows joint customers to initiate recovery actions within CrowdStrike’s Charlotte Agentic SOAR platform, extending an existing integration between the companies.
Commvault announced on 31 August that its cyber-recovery actions can run as native steps within CrowdStrike’s Charlotte Agentic SOAR incident-response workflows.
The connector allows customers to restrict Commvault access during an incident, suspend backup-data ageing policies to preserve recovery points and restore potentially compromised assets to Commvault Cleanroom for forensic investigation.
The integration follows earlier links between Commvault and CrowdStrike’s Falcon Insight XDR and Falcon Next-Gen SIEM. Yahoo Finance reported the announcement as Commvault continues to expand its data-protection and security offering.
Commvault reported fiscal first-quarter 2027 subscription revenue of US$267 million, up 16 per cent year on year. Subscription annualised recurring revenue rose 22 per cent to US$1.054 billion, while SaaS revenue exceeded US$100 million, up 39 per cent. Free cash flow increased 71 per cent to US$51 million.
Reported GAAP operating margin was 8.2 per cent, compared with a 22.8 per cent non-GAAP margin. Management expects a second-quarter non-GAAP EBIT margin of approximately 20 per cent.
