Clemson lost 41–13 to No. 4 Miami at Memorial Stadium, renewing questions about coach Dabo Swinney’s team and its progress. The defeat followed Clemson’s win over Cal the previous week.

Fox Sports reported that Clemson twice took penalties inside Miami’s 10-yard line and twice turned the ball over there. The Tigers failed to score a red-zone touchdown at the end of the first half and at the start of the third quarter.

“These are game-changing opportunities that you have to cash in on to give yourself a chance to win games like that,” Swinney said after the game. “And we did not.”

Swinney described Clemson as “a work in progress” and said the season was not over. Fox Sports also reported that Miami fans chanted “Fire Dabo” as the clock wound down.
