Christian McCaffrey reaches 50-touchdown milestone with second NFL franchise
The San Francisco 49ers running back scored twice against Miami to join an exclusive group of players, according to ESPN’s Nick Wagoner.
San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey has become the third player in NFL history to score at least 50 touchdowns for multiple franchises, according to ESPN’s Nick Wagoner.
McCaffrey reached the milestone during the 49ers’ Week 2 game against the Miami Dolphins, scoring twice from the one-yard line. He previously recorded his first 50 career touchdowns during six seasons with the Carolina Panthers.
The achievement places McCaffrey alongside Hall of Famers Marshall Faulk and Randy Moss, who also reached the mark with more than one franchise.
Now in his fourth season with San Francisco, McCaffrey has been selected to four Pro Bowls and named a first-team All-Pro three times. He won Offensive Player of the Year in 2023 after his first full season with the 49ers.
Last season, McCaffrey recorded 1,202 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns, while adding 102 receptions for 924 yards and seven receiving touchdowns.
