Charlton held by Portsmouth as goals remain elusive

Portsmouth improved after half-time, attacking spaces more effectively after absorbing Charlton’s early pressure. Abu Kamara produced their clearest chance, but Arthur Okonkwo saved to deny him.
Charlton regained control in the later stages, with Sullivan highlighting the side’s defensive solidity. The result left the club sixth in the early Championship table, with one defeat from their opening seven league matches, according to the source.
Sullivan noted that Charlton have kept three clean sheets during the run but questioned where the goals will come from. Nathan Jones, who has won 54 of 131 matches in charge, remains the manager.
