Capital One has introduced a boosted, two-part welcome bonus for new Venture Rewards Credit Cardholders, effective from 8 September. The limited-time offer is designed to provide significant value for prospective customers, combining an immediate travel credit with a large mileage reward contingent on initial spending.

The first component of the package is a one-time $300 Capital One Travel Stays Credit. Unlike many traditional welcome bonuses, this credit does not require any minimum spend to activate. Cardholders can apply the funds toward eligible hotel and vacation rental bookings made through Capital One Travel, which offers access to more than 500,000 vacation rentals globally.

The second component requires new cardholders to spend $4,000 within the first three months of account opening to earn 75,000 bonus miles. These miles are valued at up to $750 when redeemed for travel through Capital One Travel or as a statement credit. The combined value of the credit and the miles exceeds $1,000, positioning the offer as a competitive entry point for the card’s standard 2x rewards structure.

For bookings made through Capital One Travel, any amount paid above the $300 credit threshold earns 5x bonus miles. Additionally, reservations at Lifestyle Collection hotels include an extra $50 experience credit and perks such as early check-in and late checkout, where available.

The 75,000 miles earned under the welcome offer can also be transferred to more than 15 airline and hotel partners, including JetBlue TrueBlue, Emirates Skywards, Air Canada Aeroplan, and Wyndham Rewards. This transferability allows cardholders to potentially maximise the value of their rewards beyond standard travel redemptions.

The promotion builds on the Venture Rewards Card’s existing benefits, which include auto rental coverage, travel accident insurance, and a flat 2x rewards rate on every purchase. While the VentureOne Card remains a no-annual-fee alternative with similar rewards, the Venture card distinguishes itself with this enhanced welcome package and additional travel perks.
