Signet Jewelers has closed 53 stores between 1 January and 1 August 2026 and plans to close approximately 100 more in fiscal 2027, according to a report from Yahoo Finance citing the retailer’s earnings disclosures.

The company operates 2,534 stores across the US, UK and Ireland under brands including Kay Jewelers, Zales, Jared, Banter by Piercing Pagoda, Blue Nile and Peoples Jewellers. Signet said the latest closures are part of a broader restructuring of its retail footprint.

The planned closures are expected to focus on underperforming locations, weaker malls and declining retail environments. Signet is also renovating its remaining stores while continuing to assess the long-term role of Banter.

The restructuring is concentrating investment on three core banners: Kay Jewelers, Zales and Jared. James Allen has been consolidated into Blue Nile as a proprietary collection, with its standalone website shut down, while Rocksbox has been integrated into Kay Jewelers.

Signet launched its “Love All In” brand platform on 8 September, featuring changes to visual merchandising, store navigation and product education, alongside pilots in open selling, custom design and interaction zones.

The company reported a 1.9% rise in North American comparable sales in fiscal second quarter 2027 and raised its full-year guidance for the second time. The closure figures, strategy and sales result were reported by Signet and have not been independently verified in the supplied material.
