Caleb Williams leaves Bears game with apparent hamstring injury
Chicago quarterback Caleb Williams was helped from the field in the fourth quarter against Minnesota, with the injury’s severity to be assessed on Monday.

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams left Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings in the fourth quarter with an apparent hamstring injury and was later ruled out.
Williams was unable to put pressure on his leg after scrambling near the Vikings’ goal line. He was helped from the field by medical staff before being taken to the locker room on a cart.
Backup quarterback Tyson Bagent replaced Williams, but Chicago was unable to score a touchdown. Fox Sports reported that the game was a low-scoring, rain-affected NFC North contest.
Williams completed 15 of 26 passes for 138 yards and an interception before his departure. He also rushed five times for 42 yards.
Bears coach Ben Johnson said Williams was in “good spirits”, but said the seriousness of the injury would not be known until Monday. No recovery timeframe or assessment of his availability was provided.
