Buttler moves past Rohit into second on T20I run-scoring list

Jos Buttler reportedly moved past Rohit Sharma to become the second-highest run-scorer in men’s T20I cricket during England’s 119-run victory over Sri Lanka.
Buttler scored 80 from 44 balls, taking his T20I tally to 4,292 runs, according to Yahoo Sports. Rohit finished his T20I career with 4,231 runs, while Pakistan’s Babar Azam remains ahead on a reported 4,596.
England’s batting performance set the platform for a comprehensive result. Harry Brook made an unbeaten 114 from 49 balls as England reached 254 for four from their 20 overs.
Sri Lanka were dismissed for 135 in 19 overs. Sonny Baker took three wickets for 12 runs, while Jamie Overton and Liam Dawson claimed two wickets each.
The result gave England a 1-0 lead in the three-match series and reportedly extended their winning run against Sri Lanka in T20Is to 13 consecutive matches. Brook was named Player of the Match.
