Brown secures All-NBA Second Team selection after record-breaking campaign
The 29-year-old led the league in field goals made and ranked third in total points during a season defined by career-high averages across multiple statistical categories.

Boston Celtics forward Jaylen Brown has been named to the 2025-26 All-NBA Second Team, marking the second time in his career he has received the honour. The 29-year-old finished sixth in the overall voting with 384 points, narrowly missing a First Team selection in a tightly contested field. Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Denver Nuggets centre Nikola Jokic were placed at the top of the voting results.
Brown’s campaign was defined by high volume and efficiency. He led the NBA in field goals made with 736, becoming the first player in Boston Celtics franchise history to achieve this distinction. He also ranked third in the league in total points with 2,038, becoming the eighth Celtic in franchise history to score 2,000 or more points in a single season.
Over 71 games, all as a starter, Brown averaged career highs of 28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 1.0 steals. He is one of only two players this season, and the third Celtic ever, to average at least 28.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in a season. His consistency was recognised throughout the year, with Brown named January Player of the Month and winning Player of the Week three times.
The selection follows a season described as "Most Valuable Player-level," yet Brown’s individual statistical output did not translate into a deeper playoff run. The Celtics were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs on 2 May 2026, falling to the Philadelphia 76ers.
Los Angeles Clippers forward Kawhi Leonard finished seventh in the voting with 277 points, trailing Brown by 107 points. Brown, a five-time NBA All-Star, previously earned All-NBA Second Team honours in the 2022-23 season.
