Brighton overturn two-goal deficit to eliminate Manchester United from League Cup
Manchester United surrendered an early lead as Brighton won 3–2 at Old Trafford in the third round.

Manchester United have been eliminated from the League Cup after Brighton recovered from two goals down to win 3–2 at Old Trafford.
Shea Lacey and Mason Mount put United ahead inside the opening 10 minutes. Brighton responded through Charalampos Kostoulas before half-time.
Pascal Gross equalised after the interval before Maxim De Cuyper completed Brighton’s comeback, securing a place in the next round and ending United’s campaign.
The defeat was United’s second successive home loss and their third defeat in six matches in all competitions, according to Al Jazeera Global News.
Brighton have now reportedly eliminated United from two cup competitions at Old Trafford in nine months, after also winning there in the FA Cup in January.
