The Milwaukee Brewers are scheduled to face the San Diego Padres in Game 3 of the National League Division Series on Tuesday, 6 October, with a chance to end the series. Milwaukee leads 2–0 after a 4–3 win in Game 2, according to CBS Sports.

CBS Sports lists right-handers Dustin May for Milwaukee and Nick Pivetta for San Diego as the scheduled starters. First pitch at Petco Park is listed for 9.30 pm ET.

The preview lists San Diego as a US$134 money-line favourite to win US$100, with the total set at 7.5 runs. Those figures are betting-market details, not a report of the game’s outcome.

SportsLine’s model forecasts 8.6 combined runs and predicts the total will exceed 7.5, a projection it says occurs 59 per cent of the time. The forecast is not a confirmed result.

The preview does not report whether Game 3 took place or provide a final score.
