Brewers Extend Winning Streak as Harrison Dominates Giants
Jake Bauers and Willy Adames provide offensive support as the Brewers defeat the San Francisco Giants 8-3, extending the Giants’ struggles under manager Tony Vitello.

The Milwaukee Brewers secured an 8-3 victory over the San Francisco Giants on Tuesday night, moving to a season-high 16 games over .500. Kyle Harrison delivered a standout performance on the mound, striking out 12 batters over 5 2/3 innings while allowing just one run. The win improved Harrison’s record to 7-1 and marked his sixth consecutive scoreless start across his last seven outings.
Harrison, who was originally drafted by the Giants in 2023 before being traded to the Red Sox and subsequently acquired by Milwaukee, received a standing ovation as he left the field after throwing 106 pitches. He fanned at least 10 batters for the fifth time in his career and the third time this season, matching his season-high strikeout total.
Offensively, Jake Bauers provided early momentum with a three-run home run in the first inning, his team-leading 10th of the season. Willy Adames extended the lead in the sixth inning with a solo shot, ending Harrison’s scoreless streak at 23 innings. The Brewers broke the game open in the bottom of the eighth with four runs against pitcher Tristan Beck, featuring a two-run single from Christian Yelich, an RBI double from Jackson Chourio, and a run-scoring single from Brice Turang.
The Giants managed to close the gap to 4-3 in the eighth inning on pinch-hit RBI singles by Bryce Eldridge and Jung Hoo Lee, but the Brewers’ lead proved insurmountable. The loss marks the seventh consecutive game for San Francisco under first-year manager Tony Vitello, who has overseen a losing streak of seven games in their last eight contests.
Prior to the game, the Giants announced the hiring of Gary Pettis as their third base coach, less than a week after reassigning Hector Borg to a player-development role. Logan Webb (2-4, 4.82 ERA) is scheduled to pitch for the Giants on Wednesday, while the Brewers had not yet named a starter for that matchup at the time of reporting.
