Brentford open contract talks with Schade as reported interest grows

Brentford have held initial talks with Kevin Schade over a new long-term contract, Sky Sports reports. No agreement has been reported, and the club has not disclosed the talks’ timing or terms.
Schade has two years remaining on his current deal, signed after he joined from Freiburg for £20 million in June 2023. Brentford are seeking improved terms, according to Sky Sports.
Arsenal and Liverpool were reportedly among the keenest clubs as the summer transfer window closed. No bids or direct approaches have been reported.
The Germany international has scored three goals this season. Brentford are fourth after five Premier League matches and remain unbeaten, with two wins and three draws.
Schade has scored 25 goals and provided nine assists in 119 appearances for Brentford, Sky Sports reports. He has also established himself in Germany’s national team.
