Breece Hall’s return date unclear after week-to-week quad injury report
An MRI reportedly found the Jets running back’s injury less serious than feared, but no timetable for his return has been set.
New York Jets running back Breece Hall is considered week-to-week after injuring his quad in the team’s Week 3 loss to the Detroit Lions, according to NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport.
Rapoport reported on 28 September that an MRI showed the injury was less significant than feared. No detailed findings or return date were provided.
Hall left the 31–24 defeat, in which the Jets held the ball while trailing by a touchdown late before quarterback Geno Smith fumbled it away. The team’s record is 1–2.
The Jets’ rushing output was 67 yards in Week 2 and 58 in Week 3, following a 152-yard performance in the season opener. The source says Braelon Allen may take on the lead rushing role while Hall is sidelined, but the team has not confirmed its plans.
The length of Hall’s absence remains uncertain.
