Bleacher Report has proposed that the New England Patriots acquire New York Giants edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux in exchange for a 2027 second-round draft pick.

The proposal, reported by Yahoo Sports in an NESN article, is not evidence of a completed trade, agreement or active negotiations between the clubs.

Thibodeaux has reportedly been discussed as a possible Patriots target during the offseason. The proposal identifies New England’s pass rush as an area the club could reinforce under coach Mike Vrabel.

The supplied material says the Patriots recorded 34 sacks last season, signed Dre’Mont Jones and used a second-round pick on Gabe Jacas. Those moves form the context for the proposed addition of Thibodeaux.

Under the suggested package, New England would receive Thibodeaux while the Giants would take the Patriots’ 2027 second-round pick. No further terms were reported.
