Big Ten Volleyball Media Day to feature Nebraska’s Reilly and Jackson
Seniors Bergen Reilly and Andi Jackson, alongside head coach Dani Busboom Kelly, will represent the University of Nebraska at the upcoming Big Ten Volleyball Media Day.
The Big Ten Conference has confirmed the participants for its fifth annual Big Ten Volleyball Media Day, with the University of Nebraska sending a delegation of senior athletes and coaching leadership. Seniors Bergen Reilly and Andi Jackson will represent the Huskers, joining head coach Dani Busboom Kelly for the scheduled event.
The media day is set to take place on 3 August at the Big Ten Network Studios. The proceedings will be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network, providing a platform for the conference’s top volleyball talent to engage with the media ahead of the upcoming season. A complete schedule for the event is expected to be released at a later date.
Reilly arrives at the media day following a standout junior campaign that secured her multiple individual accolades. The setter was named AVCA Setter of the Year, Big Ten Player of the Year, and Big Ten Setter of the Year. She becomes only the second Husker to win Big Ten Player of the Year and the second player in conference history to be named Big Ten Setter of the Year three times.
Statistically, Reilly averaged 10.47 assists per set and 2.70 digs per set last season. Her performance guided the Huskers to a school-record .351 hitting percentage, a mark achieved across nine matches where the team hit at least .400. She also recorded 73 kills, 67 blocks, and 19 aces during the season.
Teammate Andi Jackson also enters the media day with significant recent achievements. Named AVCA Middle Blocker of the Year, Jackson earned First-Team All-America honors for the second consecutive season. She led the nation with a .467 hitting percentage, which ranks third in program history for a single-season average.
Jackson’s performance in conference play was particularly notable, as she broke the Big Ten record for hitting percentage in conference-only matches with a .559 average. She averaged 2.74 kills per set last season, reinforcing her status as a key contributor to the team’s offensive structure.
The announcement of the Nebraska representatives highlights the program’s continued prominence within the Big Ten Conference. With both Reilly and Jackson returning for their senior seasons, the university’s volleyball program is positioned to maintain its competitive edge under the guidance of head coach Dani Busboom Kelly.
