Big Noon Kickoff analysts promote Colorado and Michigan, relegate Florida State
Brady Quinn and Urban Meyer backed Colorado and Michigan, while Matt Leinart argued Florida State should be relegated after a difficult start.
The Big Noon Kickoff crew has offered its early-season promotion and relegation verdicts, with Colorado and Michigan backed for promotion and Florida State marked for relegation.
Brady Quinn promoted Colorado over North Carolina, citing greater physicality at the line of scrimmage, improved rushing production and a rebuilding programme that has made progress under Deion Sanders. Colorado was reported to be 2–0 after wins over Georgia Tech and Weber State.
Urban Meyer selected Michigan over Penn State for promotion. He pointed to Michigan’s win over Oklahoma, its elite defence and the expected development of quarterback Bryce Underwood. Michigan was also reported to have started 2–0.
Matt Leinart chose Florida State for relegation over Clemson, citing fan frustration during a recent game, the firing of athletic director Michael Alford and a challenging run of fixtures ahead. Florida State was reported to be 1–1 after losing to SMU and defeating New Mexico State.
The discussion took place ahead of the Kansas–Arizona State game at Wembley Stadium. Fox Sports presented the exercise as a series of commentators’ opinions, rather than formal changes to conference status or official competition outcomes.
