BetMGM and SportsLine align on Saturday’s MLB and UFC betting landscape
New user offers and projection models highlight key markets as the MLB season reaches Week 20 and UFC Fight Night heads to Nevada.

BetMGM has launched a promotional campaign targeting new users, offering bonus bets via the code CBSSPORTS for Saturday’s Major League Baseball and Ultimate Fighting Championship events. The incentive structure provides $150 in bonus bets if the initial wager wins, or up to $1,500 if the qualifying bet loses, subject to location restrictions. This offer is active for the St Louis Cardinals versus Colorado Rockies MLB match and the UFC Fight Night featuring Gamrot versus Salkilld in Las Vegas.
Concurrent with the promotional push, SportsLine experts have released betting recommendations for these specific events. The analytics service, which employs a team of experts and a computer model to generate advice, has identified key picks for the weekend’s action. These recommendations include support for the Cardinals in baseball and two fighters, Salkilld and Nurghozay, in the UFC card.
The SportsLine Projection Model, which simulates every MLB game 10,000 times, entered Week 20 of the season on a 42-29 run for its top-rated picks. The model also reported nearly 30 units of profit on home run prop picks in 2025. SportsLine expert Matt Severance recommended the Cardinals, citing Colorado starter Kyle Freeland’s poor away record of 0-7 with an 8.29 ERA. Severance noted that the Cardinals’ money line has dropped from -160 to -148, describing Freeland’s recent performance as a potential trap spot.
In the UFC sector, expert Kyle Marley recommended Salkilld over Gamrot, citing a striking edge and the potential for the fighter to enter title contention. Marley acknowledged Gamrot’s grappling strength but suggested Salkilld could match him in that area. Meanwhile, expert Daniel Vithlani recommended Nurghozay to win by knockout, pointing to opponent Lopes’ consecutive knockout losses and weak grappling defence. Vithlani predicted a victory via a crushing body kick.
Combining the three recommended picks into a parlay at BetMGM would yield a payout of +347, meaning a $100 risk could return $347 in profit, though odds remain subject to change. The promotional offer and betting advice are available to users in eligible locations, with the historical context of other SportsLine projections, such as a 2026 Yankees versus Braves game, remaining separate from these current Saturday events.
