Besiktas set deadline for Vlahovic as Barcelona pivot to Torres and Alvarez
Dusan Vlahovic faces a 24-hour ultimatum from Besiktas, while Barcelona remain hesitant due to financial demands and a strategic focus on Julian Alvarez.

Turkish club Besiktas have issued a strict deadline for free-agent striker Dusan Vlahovic to respond to a contract offer, requiring a decision by the following day. The Turkish side has proposed a three-year deal with an annual salary of €8 million, explicitly excluding signing or performance bonuses. Besiktas have indicated they are prepared to pursue alternative striker targets if Vlahovic does not accept the proposal within the specified timeframe.
The offer from Besiktas reportedly exceeds the renewal proposal previously presented by Juventus before Vlahovic’s contract expired. Despite this, the Serbian striker remains a free agent and has yet to finalise his next destination. Vlahovic has reportedly expressed a preference for a move to Barcelona, one of Europe’s top clubs, and is waiting for an opportunity to join the Catalan side.
Barcelona have been made aware of Vlahovic’s availability but have expressed reservations regarding his financial demands. The striker is seeking a lucrative three-year contract that includes a substantial signing bonus and significant agent commissions. These conditions are currently considered beyond the financial parameters of the Blaugrana, who have no intention of meeting these specific terms at this stage.
The Catalan club’s sporting department is closely monitoring the situation regarding Ferran Torres, who is linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain. Barcelona has made no formal move for Vlahovic and is prioritising the resolution of Torres’ future. If Torres departs for the reigning European champions, the club’s priority will shift to pursuing Julian Alvarez.
Hoffenheim forward Asllani is listed as an alternative option for Barcelona, with a release clause set at €29 million. However, the club is not expected to consider recruiting another striker until the Torres situation is resolved and the pursuit of Alvarez is addressed. For now, Vlahovic continues to wait while Besiktas demand an immediate answer.
